Within industrial operations, the foam is usually due to the surfactants contained in cleaners, degreasers, in some types of oils, cooling lubricants, or it is a result of saponification among alkaline cleaners, oils and greases contained in lubricants.
Surfatek defoamers have been formulated to obtain the highest effectiveness when killing the foam, without interfering in any way with the process in which they are measured out, and, above all, without interfering with the subsequent processes, such as painting or galvanizing.
Defoamers can be measured out either manually or with automatic dosing systems. The dosage can be:
- precautionary, before foam is formed.
- corrective, when it is necessary to kill the foam.
